Julie Lynn Thayer

Julie Lynn Thayer, Age 62 of Council Bluffs, passed away November 23, 2022.

Julie was born June 30, 1960 in Montgomery, Alabama to Curtis and Dixie Adams. Julie's dad was in the military, so the family was able to travel while she was growing up. After moving to Iowa, Julie graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, class of 1978. Shortly after graduating, she started her career with Double "S" Truck Line, where she formed many friendships. This year would have been 40 years with the company. Along the way, she had become a mom to 3 beautiful children, Sarah, Marshall and Scott. Conversations with her were often filled with stories of Sarah and Scott's accomplishments, activities and life updates. It was easy to see the pride she held for her children. Julie was a giver in all forms and found joy in caring for her family, friends and often her children's close friends, which she treated as her own. Julie absolutely loved being with her family. She cherished her sister, Rhonda and her kids and grandkids a great deal. One of her favorite titles, was "World's Greatest Aunt". Always finding the good in whatever life handed her, she would do anything for anyone she loved. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, shopping, especially if she could

find a good bargain, and just being around family. She had the most wonderful smile and memorable laugh.

Julie is survived by: Children - Sarah Thayer and Scott Thayer; Sister - Rhonda Adams; Niece - Amanda (Chris) Palmer; Nephew - Curtis Vrba; Great Nieces - Addison and Dakota Palmer.

Julie is preceded in death by her parents: Dixie and Curtis Adams, Son, Marshall Thayer and great nephew Landon Palmer.

Memorial Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2022 Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home.
