Lynn E. Denton, age 85, of Council Bluffs passed away October 23, 2014. He was born near Carson, Iowa on June 2, 1929 to the late Pearl & Sadie (Taylor) Denton. Lynn was a self-proclaimed Commercial Tourist, known to many as a professional truck driver. He was also an inventor and developed and patented the LYNN-FINS. He was a member of Cobia Lodge and was recently recognized for his 50 year membership as a Mason. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Denton; sister, Marjorie Robinson; brother, Charles Denton. Lynn is survived by his children, Lori Swisher (Steve), Pam Pope (Mark), Rhonda Bockenstedt, Rick Denton (Jane), Randy Denton (Beth); 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. A Masonic Service will take place on Sunday at 2PM followed by visitation until 4PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be on Monday 2PM at the funeral home. Interment is in the Garner Township Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion Rainbow Post #2. The family will direct memorials.
