Marion L. Pitt, age 85, of Shelby, Iowa passed away January 1, 2018.

He was born near Logan, Iowa, on October 10, 1932, to the late Lawrence and Edith (Godden) Pitt. Marion proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from the USDA as a Federal Meat Inspector.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Pitt; and daughter, Barbara Richards.

Marion is survived by his daughters, Debra Kelso (Steven), Linda Smith, Kathie Pitt (Brian Lantz); siblings, Gene Pitt (Evelyn), Marilyn Clinkenbeard, Gloria Martin, Karen Lenninger (Bob), and Janice Spencer (Bill); sister-in-law, Charlotte Burbridge (Leroy); 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, at the funeral home. Interment is in Grange Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
