Maxine M. (Belt) Reid, age 87, of Council Bluffs, passed away on October 25, 2021. Maxine was born on November 22, 1933 in Crescent, Iowa to the late Walter and Marie (Wright) Belt. Maxine married Verle Reid in 1951 and welcomed three children: Verlonda, Ron, and Marlene. Maxine will be remembered for her love of children and animals.
In addition to her parents, Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, Verle; daughter, Verlonda; and brothers Robert (Marge) Belt and Lloyd (Bonnie) Belt.
Survivors include her children, Ron (Jamie) Reid; Marlene (Tom) Lenhardt; grandchildren Josh (Amy) Hammers, Jake (Kristen) Reid; Jon (Ashley) Reid; Rachel (Brandon) Morehead; and Caleb Lenhardt; great grandchildren, Alyssa Hammers, Jadyn Hammers, Audri Reid, Ella Reid, Brynne Morehead, Reid Morehead, and Lane Reid; her brother Leonard (Lu) Belt; and many nieces and nephews.
A private services will be held. Memorials are suggested to Midlands Humane Society.
