Michael L. "Mick" Quandt

Michael L. “Mick” Quandt, age 57, of Council Bluffs passed away September 5, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on January 23, 1959 to Robert and Velma (Petersen) Quandt. Mick graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1977. He was a truck driver for Quandt Transportation.

Mick was preceded in death by his father, Robert Quandt; brother, Larry Quandt; sister, Joanie Rubeck and infant sister, Margaret Anita Quandt; brothers-in-law, Jerry Hughes and Terry O’Dell; nephew, Marty Hughes.

Mick is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Nichoel and Joe Stuhr; granddaughter, Sloane Stuhr; mother, Velma Quandt; siblings, Jan Hughes, Gene Quandt (Kathy), Leon Quandt (Amy), Judy Brabec, LaJune Ranck (Mick), Robert Quandt, Patty Klement (Rich), Ricky Quandt (Sandy), Mary O’Dell, Mark Quandt (Shellie), Phillip Quandt (Susan); sister-in-law, Mary Jayne Quandt; best friend, Roger Davis; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral Service is 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Interment is in the St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
