Opal J. Viner

Opal June Viner, age 92 of Council Bluffs passed away February 3, 2013 at Risen Son Christian Village. She was born February 12, 1920 on the family farm outside Macedonia, Iowa to the late Roy & Lela (Brandt) Cain. She attended country school and graduated from Wales Lincoln High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Smith and Ralph Viner; sister, Marguerite Fox; son-in-law, Robert Scheidle; granddaughter, Michelle Nielsen. Opal is survived by her daughters, Sondra Scheidle and Jacquie Pilling (Hubert); grandchildren, Tim Scheidle (Teresa), Anne Robbins (Dan), Leigh Ann Wallace (Darin); great grandchildren, Dana Nielsen (Jennifer), Justin Ross (Amanda), Matt Scheidle, Ryan Scheidle, Cole Scheidle, Cole Wallace, Noah Wallace, Jack Robbins, Kendall Robbins, Jordan Nielsen, great great grandchildren Luke Nielsen, Haley Nielsen; nieces, nephews and a host other family and friends. Funeral service will be Sunday 2PM at the Macedonia United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends for visitation during the hour prior to the service. Interment is in the Macedonia Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
