Wayne Andersen

Wayne Andersen of Council Bluffs, Iowa, joined his mother, father and brother in heaven on December 22, 2021.

Wayne was born June 22, 1944 at the home of his parents Adolf and Inez Andersen. He graduated from Exira Community High School in 1963. He attended C E School of Commerce in Omaha. After graduating from business college, he worked at Paxton & Vierling Steel Co., in Carter, Lake, Iowa. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Upon his discharge from service, he returned to Paxton & Vierling, retiring in 2010.

Wayne was an avid antique collector and active in Preserve Council Bluffs, Historical Society of Pottawattamie County Iowa, Douglas County Historical Society, The Victorian Society of America, and other historical organizations in the Council Bluffs and Omaha Area.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Preserve Council Bluffs.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry.

He is survived by brothers, Ken (Coretta) of Treynor, Iowa and Roger (Isabelle) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister-in-law, Debbie Andersen of Wausau, Wisconsin; nieces, nephews, great nieces; great nephews; and many friends.

No funeral services are planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
