Aaron Riley Keiner, age 48, passed away at CHI Mercy Hospital with family by his side on January 30, 2026.
He was born December 13, 1977, to Clayton and Debra (Merritt) Keiner in Council Bluffs, IA. Aaron graduated from Treynor High School with the class of 1996 where he played baseball and golf. He then earned an Associate's Degree from Iowa Western Community College.
Aaron married his wife, Mandy, on August 15, 2005 at the Precious Moments Wedding Chapel in Carthage Missouri. They had two wonderful children, Riley and Ryker.
He worked his whole career in the lumber industry. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, driving around with family, watching his kids' sports and functions, and had a hobby of auction buying.
Aaron was a loving husband and father with a smile that would brighten up the room.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald & Marcella Keiner, Kenneth Merritt, and Barbara Kohnekamp.
Aaron is survived by his wife of 20 years, Mandy Keiner; children, Riley Keiner and Ryker Keiner; parents, Clayton & Debra Keiner; mother-in-law, Kathy Wangberg (Mark); father-in-law, Byron Klockner (Maryanne); brother, Andrew Keiner (Kristin) grandparent, Vernon Kohnekamp; sister-in-law, Melissa Weitzel (Ben); nieces, Clarissa Weitzel, Cecelia Keiner, and Andrea Keiner; nephew, Cole Weitzel (Emily); a host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 8, 2026 in the Community Room at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home. The family has requested you wear Iowa, Kansas City Chiefs or something comfortable.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for his children.
