Alyce Ann Hough

Alyce Ann Hough, age 86, of Underwood, Iowa, passed away peacefully at CountryHouse in Council Bluffs on August 8, 2026.

She was born July 17, 1940, to the late Robert and Ruby (Geiger) Ahart in Council Bluffs, IA. Alyce graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1958. She retired from Tretiak's and was a member of New Horizon Presbyterian Church. She was member of Farm Bureau Women's Group. Alyce taught Sunday School at Grace Presbyterian Church. She had been a longtime member of the Red Hats and later the Dining Divas. She was an avid card player. Other favorite spots of hers were the pool at the senior center and the casino.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers; and brothers-in-law, Rick Peterson and Ron Hough; granddaughter, Jessica Hough; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Max and Lavon Hough.

Alyce is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert Hough; children, Craig Hough (Lucy), Kevin Hough (Tina), Kim Bakos, and Kelly Hough (Julie); 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Stark, Erma Peterson, Jan Andresen (Spike) and Gisela Hough; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, August 13, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family will direct memorials in Alyce's honor.
