Arlene Kay Forbes, lovingly known to family and friends as "Kay", passed away on July 3, 2026, at the age of 89.
Kay was born on December 19, 1936, to Antony Brendle and Wilhelmina (Kirchoff) Brendle.
Kay loved the simple joys of life and treasured every moment spent with those she loved. Her greatest joy was her family, and she especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed fishing, square dancing, and dancing of all kinds. She loved playing cards and was known for being very competitive. Kay also enjoyed camping and swimming and looked forward to attending church every Sabbath, where she formed many lasting friendships. She also enjoyed attending feast gatherings, where she met even more lifelong friends.
Kay embraced life wholeheartedly and lived each day to the fullest. Her kindness, warm heart, and love for family and friends will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Justine Banks; her brothers, Joe (Alice) Brendle, Leonard (Clella) Brendle, and Robert (Joan) Brendle; and her son-in-law, AB. Barnett.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Lee Forbes; her children, Debra Barnett, Barbara Jefferis, Brett (Kelly) Banks, Darren (Cathy) Banks, Justine Banks, Keith Banks, Steven (Kandy) Forbes , and Stephanie (Moyses) Rubio; She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will cherish her memory.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 08, 2026.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Final resting place at Ridgewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family will direct memorials in Kay's honor to organizations that were close to her heart.
For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near.
