Barbara Harwood

Barbara Harwood, age 96, passed away May 23, 2023, at Midlands Living Center.

Barbara was born November 8, 1926, in Council Bluffs, to the late Ernest and Ruth (Kost) Borwick. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1945 and married Wesley Harwood in 1947. Barbara was employed at Council Bluffs Veterinary Clinic for 47 years. She was a member of Southview Bible Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley and sister, Janet Frohardt.

Barbara is survived by her son, Gary Harwood; brother, Richard (Judith) Borwick; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at Southview Bible Church on Tuesday, May 30th at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Southview Bible Church or a Charity of your choice.
