Bernadette Ann Scott

Bernadette Scott, age 90, passed away May 8, 2026. She was born June 17, 1935 to Albert and Laura (Leinen) Reid in Defiance, IA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Lamphear; her husband, John Scott; son, David Lamphear; sons-in-law, Merrill Bowman, and Jeff Howard; great-grandchildren, Isabelle Ann and Abigail Marie Bowman and Avery; brothers, Claude, Everett, Verle, Larry, John, Albert; sisters, Violet, Darlene, and Ila Mae.

Bernadette is survived by her daughters, Rose Bowman, Susan Howard, Kathy (Mike) Hager; brothers, Floyd (Sharon) Reid, and Lloyd (Mary) Reid; sister, Mary Page; sisters-in-law, Sharon Reid, Mary Reid, Sharon Reid, Bennie Reid; daughter-in-law, Paula Lamphear; grandchildren, Michelle (Tim), Jamie (Marlene), Jense, Sandy (Clayton), Jeremy (Sarah), Shawn (Christi), Justin, Patrick, Scott (Candi), Christopher (Savannah), Stacey (John), Alaina (Ben), Brianna (Darian); many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Community Room on Monday, May 11, 2026. in lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to OnCare Hospice (Omaha, Nebraska)
