Bernard "Art" Smith

Bernard A. “Art” Smith, age 84, passed away at his home on April 1, 2019.

He was born in Baltimore, MD on October 27, 1934 to the late George and Margaret (Monroe) Smith. Art served his country in the Unites States Army and retired from Bricklayers Local #1.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father, John Granruth; son, David Smith; sisters, Boris Rakowski and Joan Hall; brother, Robert Smith.

Art is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley (Stiles-Olivarez) Smith; children, Douglas Smith, Timothy Smith (Donna), Renee Smith, Lisa Oxley (Brian), Karyn Smith, (Rod Barrier); step-daughter, Kathleen Gardner (Charles); 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation is 1:00 pm. to 2:00 p.m with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. The family will direct memorials.
