Boyd Butts

Boyd Butts, age 67, passed away February 10, 2025. He was born October 14, 1957 to Paul and Dorothy (Thomas) Butts in Council Bluffs. Boyd enjoyed "junking" and working on various bicycles with motors. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Pamela Butts and Connie Shrimplin.

Boyd is survived by his fiancé, that he always referred as his wife, Cindy Cates; his four siblings, Sue (Pat) Cohrs, Paula (Bob) Labs, Bill (Carla) Butts, Paul (Tina) Butts, his children,  Angela Arrick, Andy Arrick, Jaimesen (Alexis) Jackson, Dustin Phillip, Boyd Brian Butts, Jessica, Nicholas and Nathan; and 16 grandchildren; best friend, Jamie; his fur babies, Jr and Oliver and the cat; and a host of other family and friends. 

Celebration of Life will be held 1-3pm on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at The Council Bluffs Fish & Game Club (531 Comanche St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). The family will direct memorials.
