Carol Jean LeRette

Carol J. LeRette, age 83, passed away at her home on October 10, 2026.

She was born December 22, 1942, to the late Wayne and Iva (Harris) Reed in Council Bluffs, IA. Carol attended Thomas Jefferson High School. She was a member of Refuge Church and a strong follower of Christ. Carol participated in Bible Study. She was very fond of her family and her dozens of pets throughout the years. Carol loved her home and flowers. The family took trips to their cabin in Ortonville Minnesota over the years. She referred to it as her "Little Eden".

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Anna Louise Kerne; JoEllen Cook; brother, Robert Reed; good friend, Nancy Earlywine.

Carol is survived by her husband of 67 years, Donald LeRette; children, Joni LeRette-Flores (Dan), Donna Dannar (Jeff), and Lisa LeRette; sister, Janice Pinneo; grandchildren, Jason Barlow (Kristine), Jordan Hofer (Darin), and Steven Elonich (Alexa), great grandchildren, Tripp Hofer and Archer Hofer; good friends, Pam Golden, Kathy Oltmanns, and Renee Marchese; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Memorials are suggested to the Refuge Church, Midlands Humane Society, or the Nebraska Humane Society.
