Charles W. "Chuck" Baxley

Charles W. “Chuck” Baxley, age 74, passed away December 6, 2022.

He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on September 12, 1948. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1966. He was employed at Vickers for 33 years and retired from the Pottawattamie County Jail after 11 years of service in 2012.

Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Donald Baxley; mother, Mary Baxley; stepmother, Velma Baxley; brothers, David Baxley and John Baxley.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Karla Cox; daughter, Sherri Schmidt; step-daughter, Vanessa Rodgers; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Kathy Baxley; sister, Geri Smith; sisters-in-law, Donna Baxley, Charla Rogers; stepsister, Mary Stellish; 3 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends will gather on Friday December 9, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a visitation at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Cortege will leave at 2:00 p.m. for a graveside service in Memorial Park Cemetery.
