Christopher "Chris" Patterson, age 46, passed away April 8, 2026.
Chris was born January 11, 1980, in Burlington, Colorado, to Stanley and Jamie (Crozier) Patterson. He grew up in Pittsfield, Illinois, and moved to Omaha at the age of 19, where he remained in the metro area.
Chris enjoyed music and attended many concerts, especially those of the Grateful Dead and Phish. He was a fan of Hawkeye football, liked playing disc golf, and valued time spent with family and friends. He was known for his sense of humor and ability to make people laugh. He often sang "My Girl" to his mom and sister, something they will always remember.
Chris worked at The Spillway Bar and Grill for 27 years and at American Games for the past six years, holding both positions at the same time. His outgoing personality and sense of humor left a lasting impression on coworkers and customers.
Chris is survived by his parents, Stanley and Jamie Patterson; his sister, Vanna (Dean Bolton Jr.); his special friend, Jessica Harter; and his step-grandmother, Karen Patterson.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Those attending are encouraged to wear Hawkeye, Grateful Dead, or Kansas City Chiefs clothing in honor of Chris. A Celebration of Life dinner will follow at The Spillway Bar and Grill.
