Charles Joseph "Chuck" Jones

Charles J. "Chuck" Jones, age 52, died on October 8, 2026.

He was born September 29, 1974, to David and Karen (Mahlberg) Jones in Council Bluffs, IA. Chuck graduated from Saint Albert Catholic with the class of 1993. He served the last 19 years as a firefighter and paramedic with the Council Bluffs Fire Department. He was a member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his in-laws, Glenn & Judy Hovinga.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jill Jones; daughters, Madison Lea Jones and Morgan Marie Jones; parents, David & Karen Jones; siblings, Robin Jones; brothers-in-law, Collin Hovinga (Kathleen) and Aaron Hovinga (Tina Nalow); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; his brothers and sisters on the fire department.

Open viewing and visitation for the community will be held from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM with the family present from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Rosary recitation will be at 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM at Saint Patick Catholic Church on Thursday, October 15, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family will direct memorials in Chuck's honor.
