Clarence R. Lester

Clarence R. Lester Sr., age 80, passed away at his home on March 11, 2014. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 6, 1933 to the late Clarence B. & Elizabeth (Cunningham) Lester. He retired as a third grade engineer from Blue Cross Blue Shield. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, Donald & Robert; sisters, Lila, Helen & Dorothy. Clarence is survived by his wife, Harriett Lester; children, Clarence Lester Jr. (Connie), Angelina Edge (David), Susan Wilcox (Bob), Louis Lester (Julie), Clifford Lester; brother, Thomas Lester and Jerome Lester; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and host of other family and friends. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday with funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Interment is later that afternoon in the East Liberty Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to First Assembly of God Church.
