Cooper Douglas Yaws

Nov 15, 2005 — Jul 1, 2026

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Cooper, who left this world at the age of 20.
Though his life was far too short, he filled it with love, kindness, creativity, and laughter. He had a gentle heart and a caring spirit that made everyone around him feel welcomed and valued. His compassion, warm smile, and generous nature will forever be remembered by those who were blessed to know him.

He had a passion for music and art, finding joy and inspiration in both. Whether he was listening to his favorite songs or expressing himself creatively, these passions reflected the beauty of his soul. He also loved working on his car, taking pride in every project and enjoying the satisfaction of making things better with his own hands.
He truly enjoyed his job and the friendships he built there. He approached his work with dedication and a positive attitude, always willing to lend a helping hand.

Above all, he dearly loved his family. His bond with his sister, Samantha, was one of love, friendship, and loyalty. Their memories together will forever be treasured, and the love they shared will continue to live on in her heart.
He leaves behind his loving family and countless friends who will forever miss his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the light he brought into their lives. Although our hearts are shattered, we find comfort in knowing that love never dies, and his memory will remain with us every day.
His life reminds us to cherish every moment, love deeply, and treat others with kindness-the very qualities he lived by.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Southridge Church, Papillion, NE on August 8th at 2.00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to American Suicide Prevention Foundation, or that you honor his memory by performing an act of kindness for someone in need.
