Dale Bruner

Dale Bruner, age 83, passed away April 22, 2026. He was born April 3, 1943 to the late Lloyd and Bernadine (Barnt) Bruner in Hampton, IA.

Dale received a BBA from Iowa University in 1965. He worked at Mutual of Omaha Fund Management Company as Vice President. Retiring from there at the age of 45, Dale serviced automatic teller machines and later worked for Horseshoe Casino. He also devoted hundreds of hours in the construction of the Power of Love Temple.

Dale is survived by his wife of 62 years, Leela Bruner; children, Annette (Gary) Budd, Kent (Ronny) Bruner; grandchildren, Christina (Nate) Noe, Elissa (Ryan) O'Connor, Daniel Budd, Sarah (Max) Fouts, Michaela Budd, David Budd, Brandy (Brad) Heitman; great-grandchildren, Josie, Claire, Kate, Anderson, Micah, Noah, Judah, Ellie, Wyatt, and Sophia; brother, Richard (Jean) Bruner; nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

His even temperament, kindness and diplomacy made him well respected and loved by all.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, May 01, 2026.

Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, May 2, 2026. The family will direct memorials.
