Daniel Nelson

Daniel Nelson, age 50, passed away October 6, 2022.

He was born August 23, 1972 to Guy and Susan (Hovey) Nelson in Council Bluffs, IA. Daniel graduated from Lewis Central High School with the class of 1991 and then took welding classes at Iowa Western. He was a member of First Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by father, Guy Nelson.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Valerie Nelson; mother, Susan Nelson; sister, Kellie (Chris) Reimann; sister-in-law, Paula (Lt. Col. Gregary) Turner; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, October 14, 2022. Interment is in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
