Danny Woods

Danny L Woods, age 88, passed away peacefully at his home on June 1, 2024.

He was born May 21, 1936, to the late Claybourne and Shirley (Coan) Woods in Council Bluffs, IA. Danny graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School, proudly served his country in the United States Army, and retired from Mid American Energy. He was the longtime owner and operator of Woods Sporting Goods.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Woods; brother, Jerry Woods; sister, Shirley Orme.

Danny is survived by his children, Colleen (Jeff) Durham, Bob Woods, and Matthew (Amanda) Woods; siblings, Joe (Hope) Woods, Ralph (Vicky) Woods, Nancy Brooks, and Sharon Harmon; grandchildren, Ashley Graves, Chad (Kelsey) Durham, Chase (Kait) Durham, Rae Lynn Woods, Daniel Woods, Gwendolyn Woods and Abby Woods; 11 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 05, 2024.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Memorials are suggested to Gethsemane Presbyterian Church.
