Darlene Hooper

Darlene Delores Hooper of Council Bluffs passed away September 13, 2011 at Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital. She was born in Avery, Nebraska on July 30, 1930 to the late Henry Meredith & Jenettie (Bachelor) Hindman. Darlene worked for 27 years at Campbell Soup Company retiring in 1992. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Afton Hooper and son, Douglas. Darlene is survived by her son and daughter in law, David & Susan Hooper; daughters, Ellen Hooper and Christine Brunow & husband, Ted; sister, Arvella Bacon; 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Visitation with family will be Friday from 6-8PM at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral Service is Saturday 1PM at the funeral home followed by a reception at the Hoy-Kilnoski Community Room. Cortege will leave the funeral home following the reception for interment in the Thurman, IA Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Jennie Edmundson Hidden Halo Project.
