Darrell D. Dent

Darrell D. Dent, age 87, of Council Bluffs passed away at his home on November 3, 2015. He was born in Kirkman, Iowa on October 16, 1928 to the late Dallas and Elma (Peterson) Dent. Darrell graduated from Harlan Community High School. He then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Darrell retired from Nebraska Tractor and was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Loraine Dent; an infant daughter and an infant sister. Darrell is survived by his children, Kathryn Reznicek, Duane Dent (Rebecca), Kevin Walters (Teresa), Kelly Walters (Kara), Scott Walters (Diane), Leslie Nano (Robert); sister, Beverly Tolle; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Saint John Lutheran Church 633 Willow Avenue, Council Bluffs. Interment is in the Ridgewood Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorials are suggested to Wings of Hope, the Alzheimers Association or the family will direct.
