Darwin L. Rief

Darwin Laverne Rief, age 83, passed away January 18, 2022. He was born March 26, 1938 to Harold and Thelma (Bird) Rief in Crescent, IA. Darwin worked as a welder and retired after many years as a truck driver. He was an animal lover, a big fan of western movies and loved to travel, spending many winters in Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Harold and Thelma (Bird) Rief; and brother, Ronald Rief.

Darwin is survived by his brother, Darrell (Pam) Rief; sister, Joan (Richard "Dick") Gilman; sister-in-law, Diane Rief; and aunt, Norma Heath; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

A private family memorial service will be held.
