David Brockelsby

David A. Brockelsby, age 73, passed away peacefully at CHI Mercy Hospital on May 15, 2025.

He was born June 21, 1951, to the late Warren and Rosa (Kovatch) Brockelsby in Council Bluffs, IA. David graduated from Thomas Jefferson with the class of 1969 and was a self-employed consultant.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Kay Brockelsby; brother-in-law, Wayne Turk; nephew, Harry Aherns; mother-in-law, Doris Hudson

David is survived by his wife, Cheryl Brockelsby and her children, Colonel Brian (Sabrina McNeil) Webster, Megan (Mitch) Sivard, and Kyle (Amanda) Webster; grandchildren, Emalee Webster, Macarthy Sivard, Reagan Webster, Mason Sivard, Makenzie Sivard, Candace Webster, Autumn Webster, and Maxwell Sivard; siblings, LeRoy (Mary) Brockelsby, Patricia Turk, Peggy (Glenn) Smith, Glen (Joyce) Hudson and Kimberly Veydt; nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Compass Christian Church on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM at Compass Christian Church on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. The family will direct memorials.
