David R. Daugherty

David R. Daugherty, age 71 of Council Bluffs passed away August 18, 2013. He was born in Montrose, Colorado on August 13, 1942 to the late Robert & Ada (Reynolds) Daugherty. David is retired from the United States Navy. After retirement he dealt in antiques and woodworking and loved to fish. David had a great sense of humor and is survived by his wife of 28 years, Linda Daugherty; daughter, Janel Gibson (Glenn); step-daughter, Robin Wilkins (John); step-son, Richard Sudenberg; sisters, Ellen McMichael (Jack), Clarice Kenney (Hugh) and Grace Capps (Dan); brothers, Robert Daugherty and Floyd Daugherty (Karen); grandchildren, David, Mike, Liam, Codi, Katie, Amber and Bailey; 6 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. Memorial service is Saturday 11:00AM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Visitation will be during the hour prior to the service. A reception will follow in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family would like to thank Dr. Fryzek, Dr. Alvarez and Bethany Lutheran Home for taking such good care of David.
