Debra A. Avey

Debra A. Avey, age 54, of Council Bluffs passed away at her home on October 7, 2014. She was born in Carroll, Iowa on July 25, 1960 to Donnie & Marcia Bushman. Debra graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1978 and then attended nursing school at Jennie Edmundson. She worked at Immanuel Hospital since 1981. Debra is survived by her husband, Mike Avey; sons, Garrett Avey (Vanessa) and Cameron Avey (Jenna Raef); parents, Donnie & Marcia Bushman; brother, John Bushman; mother-in-law, Charlotte Avey; grandchildren, Kaylee, Noah, Alexander and Amelia Avey; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Memorial service is Friday 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a luncheon in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
