Debra Ann Lewis

Debra A. Lewis, Age 61, Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away at Jennie Edmundson Hospital on April 28, 2023.

Debbie was born on November 12, 1961 in Pittsburgh, PA to Maryann Lewis and Jack Lewis Sr.

Debbie worked at Glenwood State school helping and caring for others for 33 years when she retired in 2017.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, MaryAnn Lewis and Jack Lewis Sr; sister, Kathy Lewis; brother, Steven Lewis; nephew, Jeremy Coffey; nieces, Casey Coffey and Tammy Lewis and sister-in-law's, Elaine Lewis and Vicki Lewis.

Survivors include: son, Shannon (Katrina) Hammermeister of Missouri Valley, Iowa; daughter, Angel (Sean) Hankenson of Council Bluffs, Iowa; brothers, Jack Lewis Jr. of Westminister, Maryland, Rick (Kathy Flannagan) Lewis of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Jerry (Lorrie) Lewis of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and Terry Lewis of Oakland, Iowa; sisters, Sherry (Joe) Chirum of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Cindy (Karl) Hammermeister of Council Bluffs, Iowa as well as 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Visitation: Sunday, May 14, 2023 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM with the Funeral Service following at 5:00 PM at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home, 1221 N. 16th St. Council Bluffs, IA
