Delanie Eley

Delanie Rae Eley, age 66, passed away on May 29, 2025, in Council Bluffs, IA.

She was born on May 10, 1959 in Colville, Washington to Alfred and Sharon (Hyde) Bigelow and had 8 siblings. She was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from Cottonwood High School. Later in life, she moved to the Omaha, Nebraska area to be around her grandbabies.

Delanie was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Wayne and Sharon (Hyde) Bigelow; brother, Terrence Bigelow; aunts, Carolyn Hyde and Eileen Hyde.

Delanie is survived by her children, Britney James Welch, Kellie Thiessen (James Dejarnett), Abe (Shanna) Thiessen, and Jennie Diane Halpin; grandchildren, Sierrah Angerman, Gavyn Angerman, Drake Angerman, Ahmara Angerman, Shyanne Thiessen, Dakota Thiessen, Savannah Thiessen, Genaveave (Genna) Halpin, Richard (R.J.) Halpin, Mercedes Hughes, Josiah DeJarnett, Joshua (Kourtney) DeJarnett; great-grandchildren, Ziamara Thiessen, Giavana Thiessen, Scarlett Dunn, Matthew DeJarnett, Mikhail DeJarnett and Kylo DeJarnett; siblings, Alfred "Chuck" (Jennifer) Bigelow, Valarie (Gordon) Evans, Henry (Schillene) Bigelow, Stephanie (Jay) Hickman, Barry (Desiree) Bigelow, Tamarie Bigelow, and half brother, Stephan Lee.

Delanie had a very large extended family consisting of many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of life will be held in Utah at a later date organized by the Bigelow Family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to local homeless shelters and food banks.
