Dixie Holmes

Dixie L. Holmes, age 87, of Council Bluffs, IA, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024.

Born in Council Bluffs on April 17, 1937, to Harold and June Stewart, Dixie was a lifelong resident.

Together with her husband of 60 years, Richard, they owned and operated Holmes Printing Service, a local business they ran for several decades.

Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents, Harold and June Stewart; and her sisters, Mary Ann Sutfin and Sheryl Tallman.

She is survived by her son, Richard Holmes Jr.; her sister, Delores Swanger; her grandson, Richard Holmes III; her granddaughters, Grace Holmes and Madeline Holmes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private service will be held.
