Donald Anson

Donald R. Anson, age 54, passed away at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics on November 10, 2023.

He was born May 27, 1969, in Council Bluffs, IA. Donald attended Thomas Jefferson and was a career truck driver. He was a member of Saint Patrick's.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Smith and adopted father, Randall Anson; granddaughter, Carly Garcia.

Donald is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elena Anson; mother, Shirley Anson; children, Jessica (Rafael) Garcia, Sarah Anson, and Jacob Anson; sisters, Cheryl Stuart and Nancy Vanatta; grandchildren, Carlos Garcia, Finley Barnes, and Avery Adams; in-laws, Jesus and Janice Mendoza; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Sunday, November 19, 2023. The family will direct memorials.
