Donald Berry

It's with great sadness we announce that Donald Lee Berry has passed away unexpectedly at age 66 on April 9th, 2024.

Donald was born in Anchorage, Alaska on March 21st, 1958 to Alice and Blaine Berry. Blaine, Alice, Donald, and Roy moved to Thurman, IA, in 1968. Donald spent most of his time working on cars, trucks, and equipment for his family and others in the shop. He was very good with his skills, welding and building all types of things. Donald built a car, go carts, motorcycles, and various other things. Donald was very interested in muscle cars, Mopars, motorcycles, and music. Donald played the bass in various nursing homes in his dad's band, Blaine Berry and the Westerneers.

Donald is survived by his mother, Alice Berry; brother, Roy; sister-in-law, Jody Berry; his children, David Lee, Katrina, Jesse, and Anthony. Donald had several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; aunts; and uncles.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Blaine. Donald will be missed by many.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Sidney Cemetery, in Sidney, Iowa, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
