Douglas Archer

Douglas Archer, age 63, passed away June 14, 2022 in Omaha, Nebraska.

He was born December 19, 1958 to Les and Barb (Carspecken) Archer, and was baptized in the presbyterian church. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Doug proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp, and got to go on the Vietnam Honor Flight. He was a car salesman for many years. Doug enjoyed fishing, reading, playing guitar, riding his motorcycle, and Keith’s food at the Dew Drop Inn.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kaelyn.

He is survived by his children, Katie Archer (Nacoties Floyd), Jessica Archer, and Joshua Archer (Kara); brothers, Todd Archer (Sarah), Jim Archer; grandchildren, Mehki, Raylan, Leeland, Grace; nieces and nephews, Sydney Archer (Kaleb Kite), Lauren Snow (Josh), Ali Archer, Jake Archer, Kelley Archer, Graham Archer, Jack Archer (Chelsea), Dallas Archer; close friend, Ernie “Sarge” Yancy; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside service is Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Omaha National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the VFW or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
