Edward Nemecek

Edward "Ed" Nemecek, age 85, passed away May 23, 2026. He was born March 8, 1941 to Edward and Helen Nemecek in Omaha, Nebraska. Ed proudly served his country in the US Navy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia.

Ed is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly & Joe Atkinson, Kendra & Matt Frohardt; sister and brother-in-law, Becky & Steve Vanderhelm; grandchildren, Alissa Bestick (Shain), Taylor Atkinson (Janelle), Emma Frohardt, and Mason Frohardt; great grandchildren, Quinn Bestick, Parker Bestick, and Theodore Atkinson; sister, Janice (Steven) Caver; brother, Fred (Annette) Hug; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

It was Ed's wish to have a private family service. He will be buried at Omaha National Cemetery.
