Eileen M. Galiher, 69, of Honey Creek, Iowa passed away peacefully July 25, 2012, in Omaha, Nebraska. She was born April 10, 1943 in Portsmouth, Iowa to Willard and Lillian (Galiher) Schechinger. She loved Christmas, shopping, entertaining friends, and most of all, she treasured time with her grandchildren. She is survived by daughters Denise (Gary) Christiansen, Vicki (Dan)Overly; grandchildren Chelsea, Matt, Lauren, Logan and Erin; great-grandson, Tyson; mother Lillian Schechinger; sisters Colleen Hood, Dorothy Koch and Shirley(Larry) Gift and many extended family members. She is preceded in death by her father, Willard Schechinger. The family wishes to thank the staff at UNMC for their loving care of our mother during her brief illness. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service in the Hoy-Kilnoski Community Room.
