Ethel Torneten

Ethel Torneten, age 102, of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away January 8, 2015 at Bethany Lutheran Home. She was born in the Hazel Dell Township on June 16, 1912 to the late Andrew and Karen (Hansen) Larson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Torneten; 2 brothers and 6 sisters. Ethel is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Kathy Torneten; daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Richard Formanek and Jeanette and Uwe Malchow; grandchildren, great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday with a funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home, Rev. Dr. Tony Paff officiating. Interment is in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. John United Church of Christ or Bethany Lutheran Home.
