Florence Muriel "Flossie" Atchley

Florence M. "Flossie" Atchley, age 90, passed away peacefully at Northcrest Living Center on March 5, 2026.

She was born February 6, 1936, to the late Marvin and Muriel (Lembke) Hooker in Carson, IA. Flossie graduated from Carson High School with the class of 1953 and then from the Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital's School of Nursing in 1957. Flossie proudly served her country in the United States Air Force. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Atchley; sister, Frances Moon.

Florence is survived by her sons, David Atchley (Kristyn), Geoffrey Atchley (Susan Atkins) daughter, Tammy Kubitz (Jeff); brother, Marvin Hooker (Donna); grandsons, Jeremy Kubitz (Andrea Hinck), Ryan Atchley (Kelsey), Sean Atchley (Shelana), and Andrew Atchley; the first great grandchild is on the way; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, March 09, 2026. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, March 9, 2026. Entombment will be in the Ridgewood Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to the Midland's Humane Society.
