Gabriel Michael Bach

August 21, 2007 - June 15, 2026

Gabriel Michael Bach, a vibrant and beloved young man, passed away to be with the Lord and his cherished father on June 15, 2026, at the age of 18. Born on August 21, 2007, in Omaha, Nebraska, Gabriel was the treasured son of Marty and Tona (Hailey) Bach. He had just celebrated his graduation from Ignite High School in May, marking the beginning of a promising future.

Gabriel's life was filled with joy and laughter, and he was deeply loved by his family and friends. He cherished moments spent with his cousins and family. He enjoyed working on his car alongside his Papa and Uncle, quickly learning the ins and outs of car maintenance. His adventurous spirit shone through as he rode his 4-wheeler and played video games with his sisters, cousins, and friends, particularly enjoying Call of Duty, Minecraft and a game focused on spreading "Managed Democracy".

Gabriel had a special bond with his Mummu, often making coffee for the two of them to drink together while having a conversation. He loved a good meal, and enjoyed grilling food for his family. His eyes were often bigger than his stomach, leading him to pile his plate to overflowing. When he was unable to finish it all, he would share with his grandparents' cats and dog or it turned into a science experiment in the fridge. Even his midnight snacks, as his sisters fondly recall, were more like hearty meals.

Gabriel was a member of the Underwood Youth Trap Club and his team earned 2nd place at the 2025 State Trap Meet. In addition to shooting trap, he found pleasure in hunting and lifting weights. Gabriel had his signature style, wearing a gold or silver chain and sunglasses. Gabriel was a caring brother, frequently checking in with his sisters, which often led to playful sibling dog piles. He enjoyed listening to inappropriate music, to his mother's chagrin, which added to his lively personality.

Creative and resourceful, as a child Gabriel made toy guns from paper towel rolls and duct tape. He had a knack for making people laugh with his endless supply of jokes involving bodily functions. Despite his playful nature, Gabriel's tender-heartedness was evident in his frequent warm hugs and efforts to nurse his injured cat back to health.

Gabriel aspired to follow in his father's footsteps into construction and was planning to study construction management at Iowa Western. Recently, he had started a summer job with a cousin, eager to gain experience in the field. He absolutely loved the work and working with family. Gabriel's love for his father was profound, and he is now joyfully reunited with him in Heaven.

Gabriel was preceded in death by his cherished father, Marty Bach, and his grandmother, Sharilyn Benish. He leaves behind a loving mother, Tona Bach; two sisters, Victoria Bach and Jessica Bach; and his devoted grandparents, Delbert & Toini Bach, and Gary & Kim Hailey. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Kelly Bach, Nikki Tiarks (Eric), Jaimi Miller (Chad), Josh Watts, Jeff Hailey, Jamie Watts, and Kelli Fossberg; cousins Halen Tiarks, Torin Tiarks, Brooke Miller, Alek Hailey (Bee); Cody Watts (Marah), Jesse Watts (Destiny), Elaina Watts, TJ Watts, Keyen Fossberg (Kenzie), Cayle Fossberg and Liyam Fossberg and a host of other family and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the same location. Interment will follow at Hazel Dell Cemetery. The family will direct memorials. Gabriel's spirit will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
