Garrett John Uhrlaub, age 17, passed away on March 2, 2026.

He was born August 10, 2008, to Mike and Shawna (Carman) Uhrlaub in Omaha, NE. Garrett.

Garrett was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Uhrlaub; step grandfather, Ray Cassel.

Garrett is survived by his father, Mike Uhrlaub (Shannon Stuart-Uhrlaub); mother, Shawna Carman (Mark Swearingen); sister, Kaia Uhrlaub; paternal grandmother, Alla Jeanne Cassel; maternal grandparents, Dana and Sue Carman; aunts, uncles, and cousins; many other special friends and extended family.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, March 14, 2026. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Iowa Lions Eye Bank or New Visions Homeless Shelter.
