Gloria Jean Thomas

Gloria Jean Thomas, age 61 of Council Bluffs passed away November 15, 2011 after an extended illness. She was born December 28, 1949 in Council Bluffs to Eldon G. & Bernice M. (Jenson) Nielsen. She is preceded in death by her father, Eldon; infant daughter, Jessica; nephew, Chase Randall. Gloria is survived by her mother, Bernice Nielsen; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer & Tim Vanecek; sister, Heidi Randall; grandchildren, Anthony and Joely Vanecek; longtime companion, Kevin Harlow; nephew, Niel Randall; a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be Friday 3:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation with the family will be during the hour prior to the service. Interment is in the Grange Cemetery followed by a reception in the Hoy-Kilnoski Community Room. The family will direct memorials.
