Greg A. Grell, age 66, passed away at Jennie Edmundson Hospital on May 30, 2026.He was born March 1, 1960, to the late Calvin and Connie (Woolhiser) Grell in Omaha, Nebraska.
Greg loved his family dearly and was always willing to help others. He was an avid fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bears. Greg also had a passion for collectibles. He spent his life as a painter, a career that allowed him to build many lasting friendships over the years. He will be deeply missed.
Greg had the most infectious laugh—one that could fill a room and instantly lift everyone’s spirits. It was the kind of laugh that made you laugh even harder just hearing it, no matter what kind of day you were having. His joy was genuine, and it left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him. That laughter, and the happiness he shared so freely, will never be forgotten. To know him, is to love him.
Greg is survived by his son, Gregory Grell (Andrea Arteaga); step daughter, Heather Tosch; brother, Kevin Grell (LaVone Tienken); sister, JoAnn Anders; granddaughters, Keeley Holben (Collin) and Ava Jo Tosch; a host of other family and friends.
