Hansella Maren Lainson

Hansella Maren Lainson, age 78, passed away peacefully at her home on August 11, 2026.

She was born August 19, 1947, to the late Hans and Myrtle (Hiers) Christensen in Council Bluffs, IA. Hansella graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and retired from Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Thompson, Albert Thompson, and Sonia Madigan.

Hansella is survived by her husband of 59 years, Rennie Lainson; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie & Michelle Lainson; adopted son, Charlie Lainson; grandchildren, Nathan Lainson, Alex Lainson, and Josh Lainson (Bailey Baker); great granddaughter, Hazel Baker; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Sunday, August 16, 2026. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, August 17, 2026. Interment is in Walnut Hill Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
