Harvey Rau

Harvey Rau, age 76, of Council Bluffs passed away September 28, 2014 at his home. He was born in Westphalia, Iowa on December 10, 1937 to the late Frank & Elizabeth (Zimmerman) Rau. Harvey served his country in the United States Army and was a carpenter. He was also a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Gary Rau; brother, Dave Rau; nephew, Jim Rau; son-in-law, Rodney Frieze. Harvey is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janice Rau; children, Cheryl & Mike Wilhite, Lisa Frieze, Brian & Missy Rau, Robert & Robben Rau, Kathy & Dave Hueser; brother and sister-in-law, Dan & Gladys Rau; sister-in-law, Jan Rau; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Memorial mass will be Wednesday 10AM at St. Patricks Catholic Church. The family will direct memorials.
