Howard C. Hough

Howard C. Hough, age 78 of Council Bluffs passed away May 9, 2012. He was born March 15, 1934 in Council Bluffs to the late Freeman H. & Agnes B. (Dilts) Hough. Howard was a 1952 graduate from Abraham Lincoln High School and then worked in the family business at Hough Oil Company. He served his country in The United States Army from 1953-1956. He was a member of the Council Bluffs City Council from 1978-1982. Howard was an avid model airplane enthusiast and charter member of the COBRA Club. Howard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara (Schroeder) Hough; daughters and sons-in-law, Amy & Larry Miller, Lea & Robin Voss, Lisa & Roger Sterba; sister, Sonja DuVall (Phil); sister-in-law, Elaine Russell (George); grandchildren, Janey Mass (Ryan), Dan Miller, Ashley, Courtney and Adam Voss; great grandsons, Alex and Will Mass; a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday 2-3PM with a funeral service to begin at 3PM at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home and Crematory. A reception will follow in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Memorials are suggested to Hospice with Heart.
