Irven G. Saar

Irven G. Saar, Jr., age 73, of Council Bluffs passed away June 26, 2014. He was born in Council Bluffs on March 9, 1941 to the late Irven & Mae (Hogue) Saar Sr. Irv began hauling cobs and then worked for International Harvester. He eventually founded Saar Enterprises. He was a friend to many, but he especially loved his family. He was a helping hand to anyone in need with his abilities to fix anything. Irv was very generous and had a heart of gold. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; brother, Larry Saar and sister, Rose Evans. Irv is survived by his daughter, Edie Mabbitt-Coutch (Brian Coutch); son, Rocky Saar (Sandy Clark); sister, Mary Cleaver; brother, Kenneth Parks (Jeanette) and Donald Saar; grandchildren, Tara & Jay Campbell, Korey Mabbitt, Kyle & Megan Mabbitt, Beau & Andrea Saar and Billy & Mandy Sanders; great grandchildren, Awston Kelly, Janet Kelly, Tatum Chollett, Eli Kelly, Matalyn Kelly, Jay Campbell, Paxton Campbell, Greenlie Campbell, Lakin Cambell, Ava Saar, Ellie Saar and Cooper Sanders; his kitty, Oreo; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Sunday 3-5PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be on Monday at 1PM at the funeral home. The family will direct memorials.
