Jackie Dean Phippen

Jackie Dean Phippen, age 82, of Council Bluffs passed away July 19, 2014 at his home. He was born in Audubon, Iowa on January 26, 1932 to the late Hollis & Loretta (Duskin) Phippen. He proudly served his country in the United States Marie Corps and retired from the Army Corps of Engineers as a civil engineer. He was a member of Twin Cities Christian Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Marc Phippen; brother, Douglas Foster. Jackie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alberta Phippen; son, Matthew Phippen (Denise Aherns); daughter-in-law, Lurene Phippen; brother and sister-in-law, Larry & Judy Phippen; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation is Tuesday 6-8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Wednesday 1PM at the funeral home. Interment is in the Garner Township Cemetery followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Memorials are suggested to Twin City Christian Church.
