Jacqueline "Jackie" Ada Gibbons

Jacqueline Ada Gibbons, age 95, of Council Bluffs, IA, passed away on June 12, 2025.

She was born on January 19, 1930, in Council Bluffs, IA, to Alma and Jack Kuhn. Jackie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, neighbor, and friend to many.

She was a champion bowler, a devoted Husker fan, and made the best breakfast. She found joy in crossword puzzles, time at the lake, supporting her grandkids/great grandkids sporting events, traveling, and spoiling her many cats.

She is survived by her daughter Sheila Gibbons; son-in-law Richard Rodenburg, grandchildren: Brittney Gunderson (Brett), Kevin Gibbons, Jessica Irwin, and KC Rodenburg (Bri); and great-grandchildren Kylie Gibbons, Wesley Gunderson, Wyatt Gunderson, and Miles Rodenburg, and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bernie Gibbons, son Ricky Gibbons, and daughter Cindy Rodenburg.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 29th, at 4pm at Pizza King in Council Bluffs. We'd love to see all the people who meant so much to her to share stories, smiles, and memories.
