James Hayes

James E. Hayes, age 72, passed away at Jennie Edmundson Hospital on April 9, 2024.

He was born November 8, 1951, to the late James and Charlotte (Beard) Hayes in Des Moines, IA. James proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and Navy Seabees. He retired from Tyson Foods.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Hayes.

James is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher (Misty) Hayes and Jeremiah (Shannon) Hayes; sisters, Charlotte Study and Jeannie (Mike) Thompson; grandchildren, Kaylie (Jerry) Adrian, Austin Hayes, Jordan Hayes, Maja (Zach Gardner) Lyons-Calhoon, and Madison Lyons-Calhoon; great grandchildren, Myah, Dawson, Carson, Bennett, Kayson, and Lennon; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, April 18, 2024. Interment is in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
